Pilates Anytime! Wonderful!

I have found a WONDERFUL pilates website. The classes are recorded from Santa Barbara, California and are available to watch online anytime. I love the variety of classes and equipment used and the feature that allows you to refine your class search by target area and level . I am even more excited that I will be able to take class in their physical studio this summer. Can't wait!

summer thyme green market in palm beach

My mom and I absolutely love farmer's markets. We decided to head down to Clematis this evening to check out the "Summer Thyme Green Market." It was not a typical farmer's market, it had more bakeries, restaurants, and yummy foods than fresh vegetables and fruits. I will have to say though, the food was delicious! Ruth Chris had a tent set up with filet sandwiches and sweet potato casseroles. Yum, yum, yum! We also saw burritos, crepes, french baked goods, and bohemian conch dishes. 

It is Wednesday evenings from 5:00-8:00 right by E.R Bradley's Saloon on the intracoastal.

painted planter for mother's day gift!

My mom loves to receive homemade gifts for holidays, especially Mother's Day. I was very short on time since I had only arrived home a day before! I had seen a cute DIY project on pinterest from the Positively Splendid blog. My mom loves gardening so I thought a painted planter would be a perfect gift. Mine was a little less elaborate but I still think it turned out pretty cute!

What you need
a terracotta planter or small pot (mine was pretty big $19.95 at Home Depot)
primer- I used a white outdoor primer in a spray can
paint- spray paint is much easier! 
Martha Stewart Chalkboard Paint
Masking tape/ painter's tape- I used it to make sharper edges on the chalkboard portion
Paintbrushes

I primed the planter and let it dry. It took less than 5 minutes to dry. I then sprayed the primed pot with the red glossy paint. I ended up doing 3 coats I believe. I also painted a "chalkboard" on it that my mom can write on. I used Marta Stewart Chalkboard paint. This paint took the longest to dry and needed about 2-3 coats.

Summertime fashion and fun!

Spring and summer are my favorite seasons for fashion. I love the bright colors, the whites, and the way gold accessories look on a golden beach tan.

It is always cold in the mornings in Santa Barbara, so I will be packing this for sure!

I have a weakness for flowy shirts, especially navy, blue, or white ones! 

I recently discovered how much I love the brand C. Wonder. I had run across it a few months ago, but I never went back to it until last week. C.Wonder is actually Tory Burch's ex-husband's brand! He wanted to create a classy clothing line that had a more moderate price point. Who is going to argue with that?! Also a good bonus, C. Wonder has really good sales!

I will be the first to tell you, I am not a movie watcher. I am impatient and I hate wasting daylight.

Tonight was an exception. A dear family friend, Eric O'Keefe, wrote a book that was recently turned into a movie. My boyfriend and I went to the United States opening of it and absolutely loved it. I will admit, the tissue boxes found in every seat were definitely used, but the overall (true) story line was inspirational. I am not sure when/if it will be available for sale, but I will be posting a link when I find out! 

Summer is finally here! I have decided I need to learn to accessorize more often. I love the jewelry I have, but it is all plain silver or gold. I need to be more adventurous with fun bangles and earrings. I am going to Birmingham tomorrow and I am so excited to go look at all the cute boutiques. I will also be going to Dreamcakes, this heavenly bakery that blows sprinkles out of the water! 

I am also in desperate need of books for my kindle, any suggestions?
